Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit Device Update is an add-on from Microsoft Corporation that enhances the ASP.NET Mobile Controls (formerly the Microsoft Mobile Internet Toolkit). It updates the server’s device capabilities database and rendering adapters, adding and refining profiles for new phones, PDAs, and micro-browsers. The result is more accurate user-agent detection and improved markup rendering (such as WML, cHTML, and compact HTML) for mobile web applications—often without requiring code changes.
